The. Labour Conference discussed r<. proposal for a new platform, which :V. was decided be limited to 12 planks, including the abolition of the Legislative Council, the substitution of the initiative .referendum and recall, the abolition of State Governor, full citizen'sr rights to women, adequate provision for returned soldiers (industrial aad military) and their dependents, and the establishment of the iron and steel industry by the State or Commonwealth Governments.
