(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Although a south-westerly galo is blowing and a heavy sea running at Farewell Spit, the stranded steamer Kowhai is not suffering.
Tho tug Terawhiti is sheltering Totaranui.
As soon as the w-eatker moderates the Terawhiti will probably attempt to tow the Kowhai off.
