CLEARING SALE.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report holding a Hearing sale at Kaitn ia on account of Mr E. K. Upston., on Monday last. There was a good attendance, but bidding, ex-er-pt for the dairy cows and sundries, was not v.tv animated. We quote: —2-toot-h ewes, 24s 4d; 2-tooth wethers, 23s ,*M; .small m.s. 2-tooths, 15s; mixed aged ewes, 19s 6d; backward do., 9s 'M; dairy ,-ows, £14, £12, £11 10s, £11, £10; 2-year heifers, £4.1 ss; 18-month heifers, £4: draught mares, £16 10s, £10; aged spring cart horse, £10. Sundries and furniture sold well up to clearing rates.
