OF EXCITED SOLDIERS
Australian and N.Z. Cable Association (Received Wednesday, at 11.10 a.m.) BRISBANE, This Day.
Tin; returned soldiers attacked the Daily Standard newspaper, after ■•ailing upon the paper to apologise to the soldiers for certain remarks published. Several shots were fired and the windows were broken , There were no casualties. A meeting of returned soldiers and sympathisers carried a resolution calling upon the Government to deport the Bolsheviks and Senator Eerricks, otherwise steps will bo taken to remove them. Cabinet has closed all the hotels in the city until further notice.
