RUSSIAN PROBLEM.
A GRAVE SITUATION
(Australian and N.Z. Cable Association) WASHINGTON. Monday.
Official advices from Northern Russia say that military officials regard the in'ilitarv situation as extremely grave.
A detailed report has ben sent to the "Supreme War Council th;it the Bolsheviks are reported to be using gas shells, which are supposed to be obtained from Germany.
The United States War Department -figures show that the Allied troops at present there number a]'proximately •six thousand.
