v WASTAGE OF COAL. -STARTLING RESULTS OF EECENT TESTS. Experiments made some days ago proved that fully 50 per cent of the coal *we burn is wasted. One of the tests was this: Two equal quantities of coal were taken, and one was treated with chemical preparation, Saveo. jßßkordinary coal burned for 1 hour 40 minutes.
