PARAMOUNT THEATRE.
GRAND DOUBLE PROGRAMME,
The mid-week change at the Paramount this evening will include the five-reeler master-play, "The Journey's End." Aline (Ethel Clayton) and her husband, Phil Marsden (John Bowers) break up housekeeping, due solely to the fact that Phil believes himself infatuated with Bemice D'Armond (Louise. Yale), a musical comedy star, and agree to live apart for three mon- j thss, Alice assuming her maiden name. With Pop Mooro (Jack Drumniier), her guardian, and Jess Alden (Muriel Os- i triche), her sister, Aline repairs to Palm Beach and enters upon a life of: pleasure. They meet Annis (Frank Mayo), who falls in love with Jess. Phil learns soon enough that it is not easy to get. along without his wife, and he makes a. journey to'tho resort. There, however, he finds Aline perfectly willing to receive him arf a new acquaintance, but not as her husband. Matters are complicated by the arrival of Bernice. Phil makes comparisons and discovers his wife to be so far superior to Bennce that he is disgusted with himself. Pop presses Annis into the game, and as a result this gentleman conspires to arouse Phil's jealousy. This he is successful in doing by using Bcrnice as an implement. However, his own ro : nut nee is seriously endangered, even though the. trio worked to reconcile Aline and Phil; but explanations shortly follow, and the journeys both conclude, happily. Max L-indcr will be seen in his two-reel comedy play, "Max Comes Across," and other films will include the "Topical Budget" and the Triangle comedy, "Their Weak Moments."
