EXTENSION OP TIME

The recent Epidemic interfered very seriously with the work of the Trentham Dominion Art Union, which way started for the purpose of raising funds to educate the children of soldiers and sailors who have served and suffered in this war . It has therefore been necessary to extend the time for the closing of this Art Union, and the Minister for Internal Affairs has granted an extension, to a date Avhieh will be announced later. The Committee has now got properly to work again, and tickets are on sale in most shops. Thpi splendid object for which this Art Union exists will appeal very strongly to the public. The debt tnat the people owe to the children of sold iers who have been injured or killed in this war is a A'cry great one, and most people will welcome the opportunity of furthering a cause which aims at the education of these children. The splendid list or' prizes which arc offered begins with the first prize valued at £.1000, and the complete value of all the gifts amounts to .CliiiOO. Kve'ry Js ticket has an equal chance of Aviiiuing any or all of the prizes, and as a, sporting investment the Art Union tickets are claimed to be ''better than 'Tatt's.' -'' A large announcement, with full list of prizes, appears in this issue.
