INADEQUATE BOOKS.
TBADER CONVICTED
(B7 Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINTGON, Sunday. In the Magistrate's Court on Saturday, Garnet B. Holmes was charged with having failed to keep proper books of accounts. The Magistrate referred to the opinions of various Judges tha.t intent did not enter into the matter, and while Holmes had employed various book-keepers, he himself was responsible. The accused was convicted, and sentenced to a month's imprisonment without hard labour.
