HIKORANGI SALE.

Messrs A. J. Cooper and Co., Ltd., report on their annual Hikorangi sale, held iv Mr M. .1. McGregor's yards on Thursday, as follows: —Our entry of sheep exceeded advertised numbers to the extent of 700, our total entry comprising 47-17 sheep ana 297 cattle. These were submitted to only a moderate attendance of buyers. Competition at auction was not by any means animated, and consequently several lines of sheep and cattle wore passed at auction, but before the close of the day every line, with the exception, of three small pens of cull lambs aud 37 head of cattle, were disposed of at the following prices:—On account of Mr T. J. McGregor: 1247 2-tooth wethers, 265; 339 do., 20s; I:", 4-tooth wethers, 30s; 246 4-year ewes, 275: 04.0 do., 23s 6d; 223 cull 2tooth ewes, 19s; 253 mixed age ewes in low condition, 13s; 194 do.. 14s; 62 yearling steers, £9; 20 do., £5 15s; 39 yearling heifers, £5; I 24-year steer, £10 IPs. On account of Messrs Nitz Bros.: 57 4-year bullocks, £14 15s; 11 do., £12 ss. On account of Messrs Kuminer Bros.: 137 mixed age ewes, 245; 12 do., 17s 6(1. On account of other vendors: 53 f.m. ewes, 12s; 82 2-tooth wethers, 22s Id; 49 f.m. ewes, 15s; 12 2tooth wethers, 2s; cull lambs, 2s to 3s 6d. Cattle.—2o yearling heifers, £7 12s 6d; 12 yearliug steers, £7; 33 2*-year sters, £12 10s.
