AUCKLAND TRAMWAYS.
INCREASE IN WAGES DEMANDED.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Friday.
The tramwaymen have made a demand on the Auckland Tramway Company for a minimum pay of Is 4d per hour for all against the present minimum of Is 2|d for traffic employees. The demands range from 18 Id to Is 5d per hour.
The union has granted a request by the company for seven days' consideration.
