MAINTENANCE CASE.
HAMILTON V. HAMILTON.
Herbert Hamilton was charged at th 0 Masterton Police Court this morning with having failed to make payments under an order for the maintenance of Ms wife. Mr Noble* appeared for defendant. .Mr S. J. Moran, counsel for Mrs HamdlAj, said that the order was niado on mlch 21st for the payment of 30s a week, but defendant had not made any payments. Hamilton, in. evidence, said that he - had not been in a position to make pay- ,. .nments on the order. His motor car had bean seized by Mr.Page, his wife's solicitor, under a distress warrant, because \<a had not paid £19 for which judgment was given by the Court for money •defendant had borrowed from his wife. .Defendant was fined 20s for disobedi•vißnee of the order, and was ordered to pay up the arrears.
