SATISFACTORY ALLIED PROGRESS.

French official: Our attacks on both banks of the Ourcq produced satisfactory results, notwithstanding the stubborn resistance made by the enemy, who brough up fresh reserves. * North of the river we captured and passed Plessier Huleu, reached the western outskirts of Oulchy-le Ville, and captured the village of I Mont Gru.
The Franco-Americans south of the Ourcci crossed the Chateau Thierry road, and advanced, their line over a kilometre eastward of the village of R,ocourt. The greater part of the CShatelet Wood is in our hands. On the right bank of the Marno we progressed afresh north of Mont St. Fere and Charteves, which are ours. We have extended our bridge head at Jaulgonne. Between the Marne and Rheims'the fighting is furious. The Frenctt and British, between the Ardre and Vrigny, are attacking strong enemy positions. They have advanced over a kilometre and inflicted heavy losses. ■ .
