THE STRIKE SPREADING.

The Ministry for MuiutionS; states that 12,000 skilled workmen at Coventry have struck. A meeting of the trades unions resolved that all amalgamated engineers and skilled hands should not resume until the embargo is removed. The Birmingham committee asked for a fortnight's suspension of the embargo, otherwise they would eeaso work on Wednesday. The Ministry replied by refusing the suspension. Notifies have been given at some works iv Manchester that the men will cease work on July 30th unless the embargo is withdrawn. The Lincoln men threaten to strike on July 24th.
