Tn connection with the announcement that Henry James Nicholas* has won the Victoria Cross, the only soldier of that, name in the Base Records is 24,2.1.'!, Ist Battalion, Canterbury Infantry a. son of .T. li. Nicholas, of Berry Street, St. Albans, Christchurch. He is 26 years of age. and was a carpenter before enlisting.
