ENEMY FORCED TO RETIRE

Italian official: Owing to our energetic pressure since December 27th, the enemy abandoned the bridgehead at Zenson and crossed to the left bank of the Piave, suffering heavy loss. We now hold the whole of the Zenson bend. The enemy bombed during the night Vicentia, Bassano, Castel Franco and Treviso, 13 persons being killed and 44 wounded.
