SUCCESS OF FRENCH TROOPS.

Italian official: After intense artillery operations on the Monte Toinba sector the French stormed positions between Osteria di Monfenera and Maranzino and took U officers and 1348 men prisoner. They captured 60 machine guns, seven cannon and other material. English and Italian batteries and airmen co-operated. The enemy last night, for the third time, bombed Padua. Scores of bombs were dropped on artistic monuments, which suffered severely. The cathedral facade was blown down.
