A GERMAN OFFICIAL STATEMENT.
(Received Monday, 12.25 p.m.) LONDON, Sunday. German official statement: Everywhere we repulsed several British attacks against the positions which they lost south-west of Ypres. The artillery fighting northward of Arras continues. We repulsed a British reconnaissance. West of the Meuse we easily repulsed a weak attack westward of Hill 304 ' East of the Meuse hard fighting between the Caillette Wood and Damloup is proceeding in our favour. We took prisoners of five hundred French yesterday. Several enemy gas attacks westward of Markisch had not the slightest effect. Airmen killed several civilians in Belgium.
