In tho House of Lords Lord Middleton 'drew attention to Colonel Winston Churchill's statement that 200 officers' servants and .0,000 grooms Avere behind the lines.
Earl Kitchener said that the servants and grooms served in the trenches, which Avere not considered as being behind the lighting line, and he thought Colonel Churchill thoroughly realised this fact.
