GERMANS SUFFER APPALLING LOSSES.

Yesterday's German attack west of the Meuse, at Mort Homme and Cumieres, was the most powerful yet attempted. The Germans used fresh divisions, and suffered appalling losses. The French withdrawal on the southern side of the Bethiacoiirt-Cu-mieres road was only a hundred yards in depth.
