TURKS ENCOUNTER HOT, WELL-TIMED FIRE.

LONDON, Monday.

The Press Bureau states that the officers taken prisoners at Toussoum state that the Turkish divisions were subdivided at Katabelkhiel, four hours' march from the Canal. They received orders to attack the Canal from different points.

Six hundred Turks attacked Toussoum. When they reached the Canal they encountered a hot, well-aimed fire. There were many casualties and they then surrendered.
