THREATENED GERMAN BLOCK-
ADE.
EUROPEAN NEUTRALS ALARMED.
LONDON, Saturday. European neutrals are alarmed at the German threat of a blockade. The Danish press declares that Germany has not furnished proof of Brit-' am's alleged order for the misuse of neutral flags. In any case, this does not justify the menace of the neutrals. Leading Norwegian newspapers assert that Germany's avowed reason is merely a pretext. Dutch shipping companies haye called a conference to consider the position. The Danish paper, "Nationale Tidxj'ntc," says:—"lf the threat is carried out it will cause the utmost resentment in.all neutral countries." The Rotterdam "Nieuvo Courant" says: "Germany's warning to neutral shipß looks like a display of temper. It gives the impression of anxiety born of
feebleness, which seeks to do in ferocity what it lacks in power."
