The King of Bavaria, in an interview appearing In Wildman's Magazine, states that the war was forced upon Germany, and she would go through until she had secured an incontestable victory and peace on conditions worthy of the nation, commensurate with its sacrifices. The heart and soul of the whole country was in the fight. He added emphatically that Germany would fight to the last drop of blood.
