MR STATHAM RETURNED,
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Sunday.
The counting of the absent and seamen's votes for the Dunedin Central by-election, gives the results as followsC. F. Statham (G) 4027 J. W. Munro (0) '. 3924 Majority for Statham . . -103
There are still twelve absent votes to come, which cannot, of course, affect the results, and will probably increase Mr Statham's lead.
(The officially declared result of the election held on 10th December was: Statham 3744 Munro 3732 It will be, seen from the figures that there was an ijjlfrease in the voting last Wednesday of 4S7.^*<f
