Flocks of lambs aggregating 1000 and upwards aro comparatively rare in any of tho saleyards of tho Dominion, but occasionally lines running into four figures are offered for salo, but it is seldom indeed that lines of such dimensions average over 20s per head. However, an instance of this sort happened in Canterbury (says tho Lyttelton Times.) At the Hawarden salo Messrs H. Matson and Co. offered on account of Mr Leicester Matson, of the wellknown Brooksdale Estate, 1000 particularly fine lambs, which realised prices ranging from 22s to 255, tho average for the lino being 22s 6d.
