Griffith. Never has a story struck so deep into tho hearts of tho people as this heart drama of struggles for lifo and love, pourtrayed in six acts, with a cast of 2 prominont screen favourites, telling in suporb sontiment John Howard Payno's world renowned immortal ballad, "Homo, Sweet Home," the strains of which have ochood and re-echoed round tho world. The story opens with the romantic and adventurous career of J. Howard Payne, ashamed of his mother and sweetheart. Friendliness, penniless, and far from home, Payne writes his immortal song, "Home, Sweet Home." Tho three acts following show the influonco tho song has over tho whito hot passions of men and women, how tho magic melody brings the rich and poor together. A mother with a lust for vengeance is saved from tho gallows by the song. It averts lifelong misery and sorrow, in the hour of a young wife's temptation. There is a glorious transformation sceno of Payne's resurrection, his sins atoned for by the sacred influence of his song, from tho tortures of hell to tho paradise of heaven, a masterpiece of stagecraft. "Changing the Map of Europe," a magnificent patriotic display being shown, dealing with all tho leading incidents of the present terrific struggle for supremacy.
