It is reported that preparations are being made for the opening up of a large new colliery at Cossnoch. The name- of the party financing the scheme is not divulged, but it is believed to be a wealthy speculator, who negotiated the purchase of the same land Jive years ago. This will 1)0 the largest colliery in the Southern Hemisphere.
