The jury returned a verdict that the accident was caused by Driver Irwin over-running the home signal, which was at "Danger." A rider was added that the loop lines should be lengthened to accommodate any train, or that a refuge siding should be made at either end. Also that more precautions arc necessary in foggy weather. ■ Driver Irwin has been committed for trial for manslaughter, bail being fixed at £200.
