BENTON'S DEATH.
NOT DUE TO PISTOL SHOTS.
BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN STABBED.
Freis Association—Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received Tuesday, at Noon). NEW YORK, Monday. The British Consul (Mr' Percival), reports that investigation has disclosed that Beaton's death was not <luc to pistol shots. Mr Percival does not state the exact cause of death, but it is believed he wishes to infer that Benton died of stab wounds.
