CASE ADJOURNED.
REEFTON, Tuesday. When the inquest on Downie was resumed Evans, the general manager, declined to answer a question as to whether Downie was getting a higher salary than the mine manager, stating that fifteen men in the mine got higher wages than mine managers. He demanded an adjournment to obtain legal assistance for Saunters. Almost all the lawyers are nway away owing to the legal vacation, find the case was adjourned till the29th.
