LONDON WOOL SALES
Prejs Association—Electric Telegraph—Copyrigi LONDON, Wednesday. At the wool sales, 12,470 bales wero offered, including 10,908 of Australian. There was a very full attendance, including Americans. Merinos wero firm at. December closing rates, Yorkshire mills buying freely. Crossbreds were occasionally' in sellers' favour.
Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co., Ltd., havo received the following cablegram, dated 13th inst., Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Co., London: — Sales opened firm, there being a good attendance of buyers aud good competition. Crossbred greasy, par to five per cent advance, slipe crossbred showing a liko advance. For all other descriptions, no material change.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have just been advised by their London office by cable dated 13th inst., as follows: — Wool sales opened, animated competition and large attendance of buyers. There was a good selection. As compared with last sales' closing rates merinos and crossbrod wools are firm but prices unchanged, medium and eoarso crossbred wools par to 5 per cent higher.
Messrs W. and G. Turnbull aud Co., Ltd., havo received the following cable from their London house, dated 13th inst.: —Wool has advanced par to iivo per cent.
