Messrs W. and G. Turnbull and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly salo in their Waipoua (Masterton) saleyards yesterday, when they offered a good yarding of sheep and cattle well above advertised numbers. Thcro was a fair attendance of buyers,. and bidding being keen the whole of tho sheep entry was sold under the hammer and the best part of the cattle entry changed hands. The following prices wero realised: —B.F. lambs 8s 9d, 10s to 12s, fat ewes 10s lOd, fat lambs 15s 6d, forward wethers 15s 6d, 2, and Itooth ewes and wethers 13s sd, small 2-tooth wethers 13s Id, 2-tooth ewes and wethers (good) 16s 7d, woolly lambs 9s Id to 13s lid, small woolly lambs 8s 3d to 8s lOd, poor condition f.m, owes Ss 7d, forward store ewes 12s 10*1 to Ms, 3-year steers £6 2s 0d to £6 10s, fat cows £8 2s Od, forward cows £4 16s to £1 ISs, store cows £3 9s to £3 10s, cows and calves £-1 7s to £4 J6s, spring heifers £4 10s to £4 15s, 2-year heifers in calf £3 ISs, £1 Is, £4 3s Od to £•! ss, 15-mouth heifers in calf £2 15s to £2 17s, 2 J-year steers £2 l'Js 6d,£3 5s to £3 lis, 2A-yoar steers ami heifers£3 fis, weaner Jersey heifers 365.
