EXHIBITION CHAMPIONSHIPS

AUCKLAND, Wednesday.
The exhibition professional athletic -championships were continued last evening. The attendance was good. Chief interest centred in the 880 yds championship, which Trembath wan easily by 20 yards. The final of the Sheffield Handicap will be run off on Saturday by Kinsey, Williams, Cleland and Burns. Championship results are: — New Zealand Half-mile Championship: W. F. Trembath 1, S. Barnes 2, H. G. MeLeod 3. Seven started. Won easily. Time, lmin 59 l-ssec. New Zealand Mile Cycling Championship: G. Wallace 1, A. Bonis 2, G. Herring 3. P. O'Shea also started, but fell in the last lap. Won by a wheel. Time, 2min 26 4-ssec.
