MELBOURNE, Tuesday
Mr William Robbie, a pioneer, aged ninety-one, has died at Eallnrat. He lived for years in apparent poverty, but after his death it was discovered that he owned property to the value of £;SO,OOO. He bequeathed £650 to relatives and £50 to the Ballarat Hospital. The balance of the estate goes to found a, Robbie scholarship of chemistry, mathemathics and natural philosophy at the Aberdeen University.
