NORTHERN CASES AND SUSPECTS,

Tho following official bulletin was issued at f> p.m. yesterday:—

The District Health Officer at Auckland (Dr. Monk) reports: No fresh cases have been reported in Auckland. A similar report has been made since Tuesday last.

The suspected case reported at Birkenhead in the bulletin on Wednesday, August 13th, was removed to the isolation hospital on Saturday. This case is that of a European who was 4< keeping quiet." He was not attended by a doctor, and lie refused vaccination. Another suspicious case is reported from Birkenhead to-day. A suspicious case was reported from Koutu on Saturday. Three fresh cases were reported from Kaikohe on Saturday, and also two fresh cases yesterday. Four suspected cases are reported from Oncwhero. The reports of the Chief Health Officer from the Bay of Islands district are more reassuring.
