JUNIOR MATCH.
WAIRARAPA DEFEATED
NAPTER, Sunday. The Rugby match played between Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa juniors resulted this afternoon in an easy win for Hawke 's Bay by 12 points to.i. The ground was very slippery owing to tho recent rain, aud showers fell throughout the game. Passing and other finer points of the game were quite impossible, the nature of the ground preventing anything but solid plugging. From a penalty Clark kicked a goal during the first few minutes of play, and thenceforth with the exception of a few occasions, the game was all in favour of Hawke's Bay. Wairarapa played well
in the backs, but wero outclassed in the
forwards. Colder secured an unconverted try for Wairarapa, and Anstic;>, Clark and Carroll trios for Hawke's Bay, none of which wero converted, the slippery ground preventing successful kicking.
