The margin between Kent and Yorkshire for the championship is now seven points. This is attributable chiefly to the bad weather interfering with Kent matches. Kent have still four games to play, and Yorkshire three.

Sir Joseph Ward visited the Bluff on Saturday, and was accorded an enthusiastic reception, being escorted to his residence by a large crow-d headed by the Bluff Marine Band. In the evening he .was entertained at a civic reception. After the reception Sir Joseph Ward was entertained at Supper by the members of the Borough Council and his Bluff committee.
