A PROSPEROUS SEASON

During the past season the Ballance Co-operative Dairy Company manufactured 527 tons of butter for a total return of £00,450 2s 7d. This, compared with the figures for 3911-12 season, represent an increase of five tons in the output anel an advance of £1220 18s 4d in the realisations which, considering the less favourable season and the decidedly lower prices ruling for butter on the London market, is considered highly satisfactory, establishing, as it eloes, a double record for the company under favourable conditions.
The elirectors note that a portion of the output wa.s e'onsigned Home, a quantity was sold to Vancouver, and the remaineler was sold in New Zealanel. The company is now engageel in forming a cow-testing association, by which it is hoped, without any increase in the herds, to increase the returns to suppliers by over £15,000 per annum.
