(By Telegraph. —Press Association.) TAKAPUNA, Wednesday. The weather is fine, aud there is a large attendance for the races. Results:—
Maiden Plate, one mile.—Makura 7.0, 1; Nimrod 7.4, 2; St. Lewis 7,0, 3. Also started. —Manurowa, Almeida, Lady Cuirassier, Pearl aud Allegation. Won by twelve lengths.
Zealandia Handicap.—-Glad Tidings 1, Bowbells 2, Rob the Ranter 3. Scratched: Holdfast, Hikuai, Tripoli, and Overtime. Won by a.length.
