COMMITTEE MEETING.
A meeting of the Management Committee of the Wairarapa Amateur Swimming Club was held in the secretary's rooms in Masterton last night. Present, — Messrs .1. A. MeEwen (chairman), G. Forman, A. Miller, E. Wickens, J. Winchester, E. Flanagan, IT. Williams, J. Georgeson, R. Pinhey, W. Dickson, A. H. Eddy, and F. Bichards. The secretary reported that record entries had beer, received for the meeting, including several from competitors who will bo representing their clubs at the N.Z. championships. Full arrangements have been made to put on comic events, amongst which will be included the aeroplane raft. The secretary reported that although the Tea Kiosk had been offered rent free, no application could be got for same. It was decided that as the club was placed in an impossible position, afternoon tea could not be supplied. It was decided that hot water be supplied on the grounds free. It wan arranged to entertain the visiting competitors at luncheon. Messrs J. A. MeEwen and J. Georgeson were appointed a sub-con/-mittee to meet the visitors.
It was decided to accept the tender of the Municipal Band to supply music at the carnival.
