Tho Maesteg strike has been settled, the non-unionists having joined the Federation. The North Eastern railway at Ncav-castle-on-Tyne and Gateshead, as a protest against Knox's second suspension, have adopted dilatory working, adhering strictly to the rules, their methods being similar to those adopted in. the Italian strike of 1905.
