PARK LAKE FATALITY.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —The sad* affair of yesterday afternoon must surely remind us that it is time some provision should be made for giving an alarm at the lake, in case of need. I Avould suggest that an alarm bell be erected at the ueud of the lake, also an electric, alarm from the , lake to, say, the post office corner. The cost Avould be Aery small, and to back up my suggestion, please put me down for half a guinea t-OAvards a fund to erect some efficient system for. life-sav-ing at our beautiful and popular Jake. — I am, etc ~ J. L. MURRAY. Masterton, January 9th, 1910.
