The 'Royal Commission appointed as a result of'speeches in the Legislative Assembly by Messrs Varney Parkes and T. Henley, to inquire whether the Hon. A. Griffith, Minister for Works, had been guilty of corrupt practices in connection with certain public works, continued its sittings to-day.
Mr Henley'h, counsel asked for an enlargement of the Commission's order of reference to admit a question whether the Minister was guilty of'maladministration.
The Commissioner said he would limit it toi charges of corrupt practices, lie Ims nothing to do with questions of administration.
Counsel thereupon intimated thai; ho would tender no evidence if limited to corrupt practices.
Mr Parkes forwarded a letter stating that he was willing to appear when called.
