EKETAHUNA STOCK SALES.
The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd., report on their usual weekly sale held yesterday:—We submitted a £emall yarding of sheep anil a good entry of cattle. Both sbeep and cattle declined in price on last week's sale. Quotations: —4rooth wethers, Vis; 2-toofch wethers, 11s to 12s; ewes and lambs, all counted, s)s; 2-year steers. £4 Is; 18-months steers, £'3 7s (id; store cows. £\) 2s (id to £3 10s; fat cows, £4 18s (id to £5 l()s. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their Eketahuna sale as fol-lows:-A good entry of both sheep an cattle came forward. Any lines of inferior sheep were difficult to sell but the better sorts met with keen competition, especially young ewes and wethers. , Cattle were rather easier than at last sales rates. Following is a list of prices 'realised: —Sheep: Small lambs, 3s Ud to Is 10d; medium lambs, (is to (is !)d; good lambs, 7s (id to9s7d; store ewes, Us to 10s 13d; 2-tooth wethers, 10s (id to 12s Id. Cattle:—Mixed weaucjs to 255; 12 to JB-moiiths heifers, in calf, £2 17s to £1! IDs; 12 to 18-month steers, £3 4s to £3 IDs; forward bullocks, £7; bulls, £2 J2s.
