THE REFORM DEMONSTRATION.
It is certain that there will be a huge gathering of people in the Town Hall on Tuesday evening, and those supporters of Reform who desire to take part in the demonstration, or who wish to hear such an excellent debater as Mr Herdmau deal with tlie political situation, are advised to get their seats early. According to the votes polled in Masterton last week, at least one-half of the people of Masterton are in favour of Reform, and if these roll up in force ut the Town Hail, the Masterton demonstration should be au object lesson to the Dominion. Those who take an interest in politics should, in any event, not lose this opportunity of becoming acquainted with a man who is destined to take a high palce in the government of this country. If Mr Massey is called upon to form a government within the next few weeks—of which there is every probability—Mr Herdman will almost certainly be created a Minister of the Crown. A man who is to hold a portfolio must exercise a very considerable influence upon the affairs of this country, and is always an interesting personality.
