In debating the Farmers' Free List Bill, in the House of Representatives, Mr Madden, Wisconsin, stated that he hoped some day that Canada would be part of the United States, with oue people, one flag aud one Government. It would be better for all when such came to pass, if it ever did. Speaking iv the Senate, Mr Stone denounced the alleged unjust propaganda to defeat reciprocity. He hoped that freer trade with Cp.nada would result. American people ought not to be alarmed at stories of ruin. Mr Galiinger said that America had lost ten million dollars revenue without an adequate return.
