At the inquiry into the Beron murder, Eva Fitterman, the lover of Morrison, who is charged with committing the crime, gave evidence that she saw Morrison weariug a fivepound piece pedant attached to his watch-chain. The prisoner, iv the Court, vehemently denied the allegation. The evidenoe of the girl was, he said, lies, the result of jealousy. He cried : "Do you know you are taking my life?" Other evidence showed that Beron had been wearing a five-pound piece.
