The Northern Uuion football match, played hore to-day between the Britishers aud Auckland team,resulted in ;t win for the Britishers by 52 points to '.). In the first spell the visitors wora irresistible, their back play being brilliaur, while the forwards were dashing. Lomas was the star player of the match. The lirst spell ended witli the score, Britain 41; Auckland 3. lv the second spell the British team took charge, and 11 points were added, and six by the local team. The game was witnessed by 10,000 persous.
