KAIPARORO.
Ou Thursday night the bachelors of Kaiparoro gave a plain and fancydress ball. In spite of the unfavourable weather there was a large attendance from all parts or the district. Dancing was kept up uutil the small hours of the morning, and all present thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Excellent refreshments were provided. The fancy dresses were many and varied, among the more noticeable costumes being those of Mrs Way ("Stars and Stripes"), Misses L. Suell ("Spanish Dancing Girl") aud Prujeau ("Joy"), and Messrs F. Holdsworth ("Broncho"), Herbert Renall ("Indian Chief"), N. Reuall ("Ruination"), O. Groube ("Policeman"), and C. Olsen "J»'oroster."
