Three hoarty cheers were called for in his honour and were given with a will. Mr Gray briefly responded, expressing his appreciation of the manner in which lie had been assisted uy the members. Several other toasts were honoured, including "Tho Secretary," Mr Noble Campbell; "The Principals—Mr Jago and Miss Jago," and "The Masfcorfcou Orchestral Society." A vote of thanks, accompanied by three fheers, was given for Mr S. J. Pearson, the local manager or' the Thomp-son-Payne Pictures, for his assistance in stage direction, and the painting of the scenery. Tho proceedings closed with the rendering of "AujdLang Syne."
